Elgabry0000-0002-0843-0035Journal Article20170526Salmonella spp. is responsible for various foodborne outbreaks. Incidence of Salmonella among the examined diarrheic ducks was 5.5%. The occurrence was 6.15% in young ducks which was higher than that in adult duck 4.28%. The total incidence of Salmonella in slaughtered ducks was 3.33%. The serovars were S.Infants, S. Typhimurium , S. Virchow from fecal samples of adult ducks and S. Agona, S. Infants, 2 S. Kentucky, 2 S. longhorn, S. Typhimurium and S. Virchow in fecal samples of young ducks while from slaughtered ducks were (S. Kentucky and S. Typhimurium from both caeci and intestines and S. Typhimurium from livers ).<br /> Variation in pathogenicity and enterotoxin production of Salmonella isolates were observed.<br /> Sensitivity of salmonellae to ciprofloxacin, flumequine were 56.3%, enrofloxacin , gentamicin and norfloxacin were 50% and trimethoprim was 18.8%. All isolates were resistant to doxycycline hydrochloride and penicillin .<br /> All isolates from diarrheic and slaughtered ducks harbor invA gene and amplified at 284bp. Sixteen Salmonella isolates examined for pef gene at 700bp that was present in 2 S. Typhimurium, S. Agona and S. Kentucky isolated from diarrheic ducks and 2 S. Kentucky isolated from slaughtered ducks. Finally we investigate the presence of stn gene that was encoded on plasmid DNA and amplified a region 617bp in 16 isolates of Salmonella 2 S. Typhimurium, 2 S. Virchow, S. Agona, S. Infant, 2 S. Kentucky and S. longhorn isolated from diarrheic ducks while 2 S. Oocytes were aspirated from 2-5 mm antral follicles on the surface of pathological free-ovaries, quantified and morphologically graded depending upon the cumulus investment and cytoplasmic distribution. Oocytes from each group were matured in vitro and examined for nuclear maturation in fixed slides after 30 hours of incubation.In vitro matured oocytes from each group were fertilized with epididymal sperm suspension and assessed for the cleavage and development to morula and blastocyst stages at 3rd, 5th and 7th day, respectively. Under the present experimental conditions, the accessible data showed a significant influence of CL presence on the quantity, quality and in vitro nuclear maturation of retrieved oocytes in camels. The infection causes sudden death with high mortality. ND in recent years showed symptoms more severe than previous symptoms of this disease. NDV infection of genotype VII has been reported to cause this outbreak in several commercial poultry farms. In this study the isolated viruses were molecularly characterized by RT-PCR targeting the partial F-gene of NDV. Partial F gene sequence analysis showed that the isolated NDV strains belong to genotype VII with the characteristic amino acid sequences of the F0 protein proteolytic cleavage site motifs (112RRQKRF117) for the velogenic NDV (vNDV) strains. The morphological criteria are routinely used for oocytes selection in most laboratories. There is brilliant cresyl blue stain (BCB) test allowing the selection of developmentally competent oocytes which is a simple, quick, economic and feasible protocol. BCB is known to be a non-invasive methodology that allows the selection of immature oocytes in several species. BCB test determine the intra cellular activity of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH) that gradually decreases its activity as oocytes reach their growth phase. The using of BCB test before IVM is still controversial, so this review describes the use of BCB staining test for oocytes and embryo selection to investigate the impact of application of this stain in in-vitro maturation and embryo production in animals.
